Working in Shoulder pain thats restricted in movement

Kyle Pepperman-Hackett

Helping people, of all sporting (and non-sporting) abilities to stay active, or be relieved of pain and discomfort is my main goal. After qualifying in Sports Therapy in 2014, I set up my own clinic in Waterlooville and Southampton, and with a history of competitive running, I started treating local runners(including local GB athletes).

From there I began working in professional sport, from Sailing teams to one-off sessions at Southampton football club,

Everyone is unique with their pains, injuries, running movements and body patterns so thats why treating and rehabbing patients is bespoke to them and no copy and pasting planning which just doesn't work.

Professional Cycling

In 2016 I started working as a soigneur for One Pro Cycling and in 2017 became their Head Soigneur.  During that time I have worked both in the UK and internationally at races alongside running my UK Clinic and where possible supporting charitable events.

between 2018-2022 I worked for the Great Britain Cycling Team, primarily with the Elite/ Senior mens road squad and the Paralympic squad where I was apart of the 2020 Tokyo Games.

I now currently work for one of the best cycling teams in the world - Team INEOS Grenadiers.

My experience in professional sports gives me a greater understanding of sporting injuries, different ways to treat and speedy recovery. ( It has also made me a keen cyclist!)

Sports Therapy & Massage

Sports Therapy & Massage is an aspect of healthcare that is specifically concerned with the prevention of injury and the rehabilitation of the patient back to optimum levels of functional, occupational and sports specific fitness, regardless of age and ability.

A practical, no-nonsense Massage treatment which aims to stretch tight muscles, stimulate inactive muscles and improve soft tissue condition. It enables the body to move more freely, and over time, can help improve posture and flexibility to the muscles.

Remedial Therapy

'Massage' techniques developed from traditional massage and including other therapy disciplines.

These, combined with massage, to provide the most effective treatment. They include:

Soft Tissue Release (STR)

Muscle Energy Technique (MET)

Neuromuscular Technique (NMT)

Acupunture

A modern treatment approach founded in concepts of neurology, anatomy and physiology. It involves the strategic placement of sterile needles into various locations in the body. The difference between the two forms is is the selection of acupuncture points is based both on the traditional Chinese approach as well as including points that are anatomically and neurologically connected to your specific source of pain.

I have been attending Kyle's clinic for a couple of years with various issues, most recently a bruised knee having fallen on my bike 9 weeks prior to my first full distance triathlon. When I saw him for the first time regarding my knee, I was convienced game over, I was not going to make it to the start line. With his positive attitude, treatment & guided rehabilitation which included exercises to strengthen the knee & guidance re continuing to train
